Stroud U11's v Cirencester U11's

Stroud U11's visited Cirencester and played three games, losing two and winning one.

Cirencester 5 Stroud 20
Stroud settled into the second game a lot better and regained their rugby skills from last year. The first score was a result of an excellent forward drive by Dom Butcher, Aaron Raath, Konah Dyer and Keelan Spence with Joe Ashenford receiving the final pass to crash over from short range. From the kick off Harry Pavis received the ball and made good ground back inside the Cirencester half from the resulting maul Ashenford emerged from the side with the ball brushing aside a couple of Cirencester players and sprinted for the line eluding the final defenders for the touch down. Stroud then realised if they could pass the ball more they would make progress, an excellent passing move between Oliver Greensweig, Jack Cullimore, and Freddy Stephenson saw Konah Dyer join the line at full speed to receive the final pass and get the touch down. Try of the day was left to the last play of the game. The forwards won good ball from the scrum, a quick pass from Jonathan Butcher enabled Richard Siebenaller to make the gain line, the ball then went swiftly through all the backs hands, the final pass went to fullback Reuben Keating who joined the line and powered his way through the final defenders for the score in the corner. Special mention to Keelan Spence who made some good ground with the ball in his first ever game. Good tackles were seen from Harry Ward and Ellery Thompson, however tackle of the day was awarded to Oliver Greensweig for two fearless crunching tackle on opposition nearly twice his size.
