Mini/Junior Section
Stroud RFC mini and junior section pictured

wish to know more about sport or sport scholarships at Wycliffe please
visit the open day on October 7th."
Following the success in recent years of the mini and junior section at
Stroud, the club was very grateful to Wycliffe for permitting the use
of their pitches on a Sunday morning for training and matches. Some age
groups still use the Fromehall Park facilities on a Sunday morning and
Wednesday evening. A rota system is in place so that all teams have the
chance to play on the hallow turf of Fromehall Park. All age groups also
have the opportunity to play an evening fixture under the floodlights
against local opposition.
A new mini and junior section committee are in place this season which
hope to improve the enjoyment for the players both on and off the pitch.
A more professional approach has been taken to allow the coaches to coach
and improve their skills while the day to day running of the section has
been taken over by a group of team coordinators.
All coaches are Rfu qualified and CRB checked with the emphasis on the
players having fun in a safe environment.
The club is working towards the Active Sports "Seal of Approval"
accreditation that will show all those with an interest in rugby and sports
development that the club is providing our young players with a safe,
well organised and enjoyable environment in which to learn and play their
rugby.
The mini and junior section has various sponsorship packages available
to individuals and companies, all budgets are catered for, please call
the number below for a chat.
The club still has room for more players at all age groups regardless
of ability, for more information please contact Geoff Ashenford 07798827289.
