Chris Jones

Stroud rugby player Chris Jones became a vegan for a month to raise money for Save the Children. Chris was so concerned about the famine developing in Africa that he wanted to do something about it and so put himself forward to be sponsored to live on a vegan diet. He is normally a big meat eater and so found it particularly difficult to live without meat, dairy products or eggs for a month. Now it is over Chris says it is not a life style change he will be making anytime soon.
Chris has played for Stroud both in the scrum as Prop, and also on the wing, and his entry into the world of a Vegan raised a substantial amount of money for Save the Children.
