From the kick off Stroud attacked from their own 22 and play was taken by the threequarters into the Dursley half and from the resultant ruck Dursley were penalised and full back Cory Baker kicked a penalty goal. Nomads continued to run the ball at every opportunity with both forwards and backs handling well and after several try attempts were thwarted by a strong Dursley defence, centre Chris Toon burst through several would be tacklers to score under the posts, converted by Cory Baker.
Further good interplay by the Nomads backs gave wing Alex Powell an easy run to the line to score wide out, conversion again by Cory Baker. Dursley then came more into the game with their stand off half making several strong runs, and from one of these Stroud transgressed and Dursley kicked the penalty goal. Nomads were soon on the attack again and good work by the forwards gave No8 Dave Brooks to chance to score their third try, converted by Cory Baker.
The second half was mainly one way traffic with Stroud scoring five tries through 2nd Row Gareth Segelov, flanker Tom Flanagan two by scrum half Jordan Phipps and one by debutant centre Joe Ashenford who won the ball from a maul and ran 30 metres to score. Four of these tries were converted by fly half Jacob Marsh. Although well beaten Dursley contributed to an excellent open game played in a very good spirit.
