The game started at a great pace with Longlevens pressing the Stroud line almost immediately and it was not long before their forwards drove over the line from a maul, the conversion was missed. Stroud came back into the game and some good play by the forwards released winger Harry Phillips who ran 50 yards and scored wide out, the conversion was missed. With the wind making handling a problem for both teams, dropped passes and missed catches by both sides led to a period of play in which neither side looked dangerous. However, Nomads at last managed to put several of phases of play together with the forwards driving some 30yrds towards the Longlevens line. From a resultant line out the Nomads again drove to the line with Grant Nash peeling off the maul and diving over for the try, which was converted by Corey Baker. With their tails now up Stroud opened up play from the kick off with Neil Broadbent and Chris Toon linking with winger Harry Phillips who scooted up the touchline and scored beneath the posts, with the try being converted by Corey Baker. This set back shocked Longlevens who immediately went on the offensive and some 5 minutes before half time a good threequarter movement led to a try by their winger in the corner, this was not converted.
The second half was a fiercely fought as the 1st with neither side giving an inch. Longlevens were soon into Stroud terroritory and only good defensive work by Nat Cook, Liam Hopkins and Grant Nash kept them out. However, they were not to be denied and froma short penalty kick their hooker dived over for a try, again not converted. The game swung back Nomads way when midway through the half an infringment by Longlevens at a ruck gave Corey Baker the opportunity to kick the penalty goal. Longlevens were not to be denied and after some poor tackling their full back
crossed for a try, again not converted. The last few minutes were hectic with Longlevens trying to conjure up another score but without success.
Another good win for the Nomads, with winger Harry Phillips the man of the match.
