Gordon League were soon on the attack and opened the scoring with an unconverted try within the first 5 minutes. However, Nomads hit back straight away and their scrum half raced away after taking a short penalty kick and scored near the posts, the try being converted. Play then remained even with Gordon League doing much of the attacking with Nomads defence keeping them at bay. Their defence was finally breached after some good threequarter play by the young Gordon League backs, this try being converted. After some good forward play by Nomads, stand off Jamie Leworthy broke through several tackles and scored under the posts, the try was converted. With half time beckoning the Stroud defence went to sleep and the Gordon League backs scored two quick converted tries. The second half remained fairly even, but with the Stroud forwards tiring Gordon League scored three late tries to complete in the end a very comprhensive win.
