Cirencester benefitting from the elements in the 1st half and scoring three converted tries and Stroud unable to make the most of the wind in the 2nd half.
With a much changed side Stroud Nomads gave away a try from the kick off, when a wayward pass was intercepted by the Cirencester centre who scored at the posts. Stroud then used their forwards to make inroads into the Cirencester half with Grant Nash, Rob Davey and Lee Marshall involved, but poor handling and passing let them down when the try line beckoned. Cirencerster backs looked dangerous with ball in hand and a break by their stand off resulted in their second try near the posts.
Nomads launched several attacks from their own 22 but once again poor handling and wrong options resulted in Cirencester scoring their third try just before half time.
With the wind at their backs Stroud attacked from the start of the 2nd half and were denied a try when capt Rob Davey was held up over the line. Cirencester then broke up field were stopped just short of the try line, Stroud went offside and from the resultant penalty the Cirencester scrum half darted over for their 4th try.
Stroud battered the Cirencester try line for most of the second half and eventually after good 3/4 play by Chris Anderson, Corey Baker and Chris Ashmead, Sam Leaworthy crossed for a try. Continued good forward play kept the game in the Cirencester 22 for the remainder of the game and at the death Grant Nash dived over for Stroud's 2nd try which he converted.
