Playing with the wind in the first half Nomads took some time to settle down and were soon 3pts down after Berry Hill converted a penalty kick. Play remained even for the next 20 mins with neither side looking threatening, but out of nothing Sam Leworthy the Nomads stand off ghosted through several Berry Hill defenders and scored under the posts, converted by full back Cory Baker. Further pressure from Stroud soon after, resulted in an excellent try scored by scrum half Jordan Phipps after good work by Sam Leworthy again, the try was again converted.
The first 10 mins of the second half was played in the Stroud 22, but good defensive tackling by both the forwards and threequarters kept Berry Hill at bay. However, they were not to be denied and and a forward drive saw them crash over in the corner for an unconverted try. This galvanised the Stroud team and after some good work by the forwards a kick by winger Jess Stevens gave centre Chris Toon the opportunity to beat the covering defence to score wide out, with an excellent conversion by Cory Baker. Nomads continued to pressure the Berry Hill line and after another good drive by the forwards centre Harry Foote outstripped the Berry Hill defence and scored at the posts, the conversion was missed. Berry Hill had the final word when after a succession of short penalty kicks their forwards drove over the line for a try which was converted. This was another good performance by the Nomads with an excellent team spirit.
