This was another convincing win for the Nomads, with both forwards and backs combining well. Stroud opened the scoring within 5 minutes when centre Chris Toon picked up a loose ball and ran 30 yrds to score. Play then remained even for some 20 minutes with no side gaining and momentum, until the Nomads forwards drove to the Hucclecote line and hooker Grant Nash dived over near the posts, the try being converted by Cory Baker. With the Nomads forwards getting good possession in the loose and Lee Marshall, Rob Davey and Matt Hunt to the fore a further try was soon forthcoming when Sam Leworthy made an excellent break and scored wide out, the conversion was missed.
The second half saw Stroud again maintain a firm grip on the game without taking all the opportunities that came their way. Two further tries were scored by Grant Nash and Cory Baker one of which he converted. Hucclecote never gave up trying and were rewarded with the final try of the game.
Nomads now go into the New Year with an excellent first half of the season completed.
Next game on Saturday 7th January 2012 away at Cirencester.
