The first 15 minutes of the game were played in the Brockworth half with stand off Sam Leworthy in fine form making several good breaks without the final pass going to hand for a score. Nomads finally broke through after some good interpassing between the forwards and backs which gave winger Tom Flanagan the opportunity to score his first try for the club. Soon after the Stroud forwards drove to the Brockworth line and No 8 Dave Clutterbuck dived over for a try, it was disallowed for a previous forward pass. The Nomads were not to be denied and from another good forward drive captain Rob Davey crossed for Stroud's 2nd try. With half time beckoning another good breaK Sam Leworthy led to a Brockworth player being offside and Cory Baker kicked the resultant penalty.
Nomads maintained their grip on the game during the 2nd half with newcomers Frank Gurney and Tom Spencer to the fore. The task for Brockworth was made harder after their No8 was dismissed for foul play and Stroud forwards kept up the pressure and rewarded with a pushover try scored by No 8 Tom Spencer, which was converted by full back Cory Baker. This was a good all round team performance by the Nomads with the forwards having their best game for several weeks.
