This game was lost by Stroud in the first 20mins of the match, when the No.8 of Chosen Hill scored three tries, on each occasion being allowed to run through too many tackles and scoring under the posts.
Stroud forwards gave a solid performance throughout the match with Rob Sealey, Rob Higgins and Sam Cook always in the thick of the action. When the Nomads threequarters managed to get the ball newcomer Luke Rapson and flyhalf Jordan Phipps looked dangerous, but promising moves petered out though lack of support.
The second half was evenly contested with the Stroud forwards again to the fore, but once again several good opportunities went begging through dropped balls or poor passing.
With time running out Chosen Hill broke through from a short penalty kick and the centre scored near the posts. From the resulting kick off a loose pass by Chosen Hill threequarters led to an interception by Nomads fly half Jordan Phipps who ran from a halfway to score at the posts and convert the try.
With the last play of the match a good passing movement by the Chosen Hill threequarters led to the final try of the match.
A good all round performance by Stroud forwards, but the tackling needs to be tightened up for future games.
