Coney Hill 2nd XV 74 - 19 Stroud Nomads

Within the first 15 minutes Coney Hill through their very quick threequarters were 21 points to the good, breaking through the Stroud defence at will

The few chances the Nomads had in the first half led to an excellent try by centre Nathan Taylor who weaved his way through several would be tacklers to score near the posts, the conversion being missed. This reversal only gave the Coney Hill side more impetus to score four further tries before half time.

The second half was more even although Stroud struggled to gain good territory and only good play by their forwards with Captain Rob Davey and Lee Marshall to the fore, gave them the opportunities to score two tries both by Davey, both being converted.

Coney Hill continued to look dangerous with the ball in hand and only over elaborating cost them the chance to score further points.

This was a performance by the Nomads to be forgotten, with the hope of better things over the next few weeks.
