A well deserved first try from Painswick gave them the lead at the start of this evenly fought match. After a second by the host team, Stroud were stung into action and from then on dominated. Stroud forwards, Matt Oliver, Jacob Archer and Blyth Packard were winning most of the rucks with scrum half Joel Finch doing an great job of managing the breakdown and distributing the ball. Backs Niall McLauchlin, Toby Collingridge, Eddie Davey Jawara, Reuban Dahdouh, Iwain Rossiter, and Charlie looked good with ball in hand and were involved in every try. Stroud ran out deserved winners scoring six tries by prop Kit Thomas, fly half Lewis McDowall, hooker Kane Snell (2), 2nd row Freddie Polley, and inside centre Chaka Thomlin-Hayes all of whom also worked very hard in attack and defence helping to make this an excellent team performance.
