David was club Treasurer for a number of years, served on the general committee, and was Stroud’s representative on the county committee. Even during those periods when he didn’t have a specific role within the club he always kept a weathered eye on the club and on how it was doing.

It was very much a family affair, with his wife Margaret one of the main stays of the Ladies Committee which successfully ran the kitchen in the 70s and 80s. His son Simon played Fullback for the 1st XV for a number of seasons and was captain for the 1994 / 95 season, and his daughter Suzie was often seen at the club supporting the team and helping out in the kitchen.

David will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
