Sunny Sunday

We had 13 budding rugby players turn out on a sunny Sunday morning, so thanks. Due to Kitchen being left without helpers Mark passed training duties onto Tim and Jason and the boys and girls stepped up. A massive thanks to Tim and Jason for an amazing job in rallying everyone into chain tag and all the warm-up activities..At the end we played a couple of games of tag rugby which was the best coordinated and communicated game this season so far. I have high hopes for this team moving forward. Player of the week went to 2 very talented sisters who have only just joined the squad, Laural and Daisey. Well done for the way you have joined in so well, listened to the coaches and picked up the skills of ruby so quickly. A pair of rugby naturals!

Building the Squad.

Due to other commitments with Stroud Rugby I am looking to hand over to another parent the Team Admin Role so they can move up with the group next year...I am happy to have someone shadow me for a few weeks so I don't pass on any surprises... Only a few hours a week required...If anyone is interested please let me know. I have also spoken to a few Mums with regards Team Admin roles for next year to stay with the Under 6's...again if anyone is interested in that role please also come forward...Stroud survives on Volunteers only, so if you can give a few hours on a Sunday each (most)weeks then it would be gratefully received. If we get this sorted now this will ensure the continuity that has existed for the past 4 seasons and in turn the future of the Mini and Junior Section. Let’s not forget, these children are the future of the Club.

Just a quick reminder, our team players are very motivated by the Trophies at the end of each training session and we do require the Trophies to be brought back to the Club the week after...if you are unable to attend please can you make arrangements to give the Trophies back to other parents/players who will attend.

Thanks for all your continuing support and see you next Sunday, when the forecast is bright sunshine and a balmy 8C!
