Despite a three week break, much of the first half was end to end play, but chances were spurned by both sides as the muddy conditions started to take effect through dropped passes and players struggling to keep up with play.
With the half coming to a close Nomads had a five yard scrum from the Berry Hill line, the ball was lost but a poor pass was dropped by the Berry Hill stand off and Stroud's scrum half Joe Ashenford dived on the loose ball to score the first try.
The second half continued with both sides still playing attacking rugby, and excellent forward play by back row forwards Rob Matts, Rob Sealey and Tom Flanagan gave scrum half Joe Ashenford the opportunity to sell a dummy from a penalty kick and run 25 metres to score under the posts, converted by Peter Sykes.
Further pressure by the Stroud forwards gave wing Matt Binns the chance to draw the Berry Hill defence and put centre Jamie Leworthy over for Stroud's third try, again converted by Peter Sykes.
Resting on their laurels Nomads went to sleep and Berry Hill came more into the game and were rewarded with a try after a concerted drive by their forwards.
This reversal stung the Nomads into action and a delightful weaving run by stand-off Peter Sykes led to his try under the posts and converted by him.
With time running out Stroud continued their attacking play and good passing by their three-quarters gave wing Harry Phillips the opportunity to score their fifth try, converted by Peter Sykes.
A good all round display by Stroud Nomads especially in the second half.
